He diagnosed a more serious problem, fixed it, and had it ready for me later the same day!. He charged a fraction of what anyone else in town would've billed. I was so pleased, I brought him my bass guitar for setup/new strings. Again, a fantastic job, ready the next day. Tightened the truss rods, polished the frets, and set the bridge perfectly. JR is a wonderful find. An experienced, professional gentleman who knows his stuff and charges less than half the going rate. I cannot recommend his work highly enough."

"I was looking to have my guitar set up for a resonable price and didn't want to go to the Guitar Center or Sam Ash which I hate. I find those places overloaded with work and there's stuff lying all over their work bench that is open and in plain view for the public to see or swipe (LOL!) He works out of his apartment in a nice neighborhood. I brought two of my guitars there originally for a set up. JR examined one of them a bit further and recommended a fret leveling job. He explained to me what needed to be done in a non pressured way. So after hearing this, I decided to have this done and was glad that he did the work. JR is an honest man who has very reasonable prices for guitar set ups and repairs. He'll tell you right off the bat if there are any issues with the guitar and his recommendations for it in a professional way. He takes the time to explain how he does his work and has a fast turn around time. I would highly recommend him for all your guitar and bass repairs. My guitar teacher is even going to him now! Oh..he also repairs keyboards, amps, tubes and electronics too!"
